Gallery 37+

Calling The Shots have just completed a four week project with Gallery 37+, providing a filmmaking scheme for young adults.

 

Gallery 37+ was founded in 1998, based on a model of creative arts training pioneered in Chicago, and is now run in five major cities in the UK.

 

 

 

 

 

Every summer Gallery 37+ delivers high profile city- centre based programmes of training, collaborating with many major art organisations and artists.

 

This year Calling The Shots were fortunate to be one of those organisations, providing facilitation and training to the young people. They worked really hard over the 'summer holidays' delivering ten short films, and we are all very proud of them.

The project cullminated with a presentation and screening in Queens Square, where each strand delivered their work.

 

The aim of Gallery 37+ is to provide creative learning for young people with the least opportunity and to support artists who wish to engage with communities.
