UK Film Council - Digital Shorts 08

Congratulations to Matt Walker - Little Face, Geoff Taylor - Breathe, Mo Ali -Average Journey and Matt Nesbeth - Blaine.
They have successfully made it through to produce their films funded by the UK Film Council's Digital Shorts scheme!
Calling The Shots will be producing all four films with South West Screen for the Film Council.
The four directors are currently working hard on their scripts, before going into the next stage of pre-production.
They attended a directors workshop on the 27th February in Bristol, working with Chris Cooke, director of the feature film One For The Road.
Organised in conjunction with the Script Factory and Calling The Shots, the day was a huge success. Professional actors workshopped their scripts all day, and it gave the directors the chance to see their projects from a different perspective.
Geoff's drama will go into production at the end of April and will be his first time directing children.
Mo's docu drama looks at his journey from Somalia to Bristol as a refugee, and will be in production in May, working with Firstborn Creatives.
Matt Nesbeth's drama will go into production in May, where we see one of the characters with Aspergers Syndrome trying to keep his relationship on track.
Matt Walker's project will see Calling The Shots and Arthur Cox collaborating for the first time, something which we are very excited about. The protagonist's long lost imaginary friend turns up out of the blue!
Watch this space to see how the productions progress!
