Calling The Shots offer a full design and delivery services for educational projects.
We work in partnership with our clients to research and facilitate hands-on programmes in film and digital media to suit people of all ages.
Streaming Stories
Streaming Stories used the web to connect ten different community groups across Swindon, UK. The project involved Caribbean elders, young carers and single mums learning digital media skills and producing original art, movies, music and text to share with other members of the community via the website and talk areas.
St. Vigor and St. John Primary School, Chilcompton
Chilcompton Primary School took all their pupils off the timetable for a week to undertake a focus week on democracy.
We worked with all the Year 6 pupils to produce five party political broadcasts, one for each of the five political parties, set up to campaign to parents, staff and pupils around issues including bullying, healthy eating and school energy use. Pupils planned and scripted their films, filmed and performed in them, and edited them with our support.

Teyfant Community School, Hartcliffe
Calling The Shots have worked with pupils from Teyfant School on various projects over the last two years, working with every year group in the school on a Creative Partnerships funded digital arts residency.
Projects undertaken have included working with Year 1 pupils making animated films about their own fairy stories. Every pupil in the year participated, working on script development, character design and camera and editing skills. Pupils also recorded the character voices and the sound effects. Other projects undertaken in the school have included a First Light funded drama about transition with Year 6 pupils and a poetry and filmmaking project looking at 'States of Mind'.
